Yellow & Red Empire State Building to Celebrate Red China?!?

Okay, seriously, somebody tell me that this is a joke! I mean, I know that our new administration is endeavoring to bring about "change" and all, but come on! I thought by "change" that President Obama meant socialized healthcare, higher taxes, and a bloated nanny-state there to take care of my every need. But not this! This is an "Obamanation," if you will.

And frankly, this should have little to do with politics. I don't care what side of the aisle you come from, you should be offended or, at the very least, put out by this! Now, before you get all defensive, I personally doubt that President Obama himself has much, if anything, to do with this. But there is no way in Hades that this would have happened a year agoor even ten years ago for that matter.

The Empire State Building's website innocuously states that the Red/Yellow/Red lighting scheme is to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the People’s Republic of Chinaas in, 60 years of Communist rule in China. Why is this cause for celebration? What's next, a commemoration of Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge?!? Or perhaps Hitler's Germanyoh wait, that's right, Hitler was a socialist, not a communist.

Hey, ESB, why don't you light up every other window in pink and blue for the helpless girls and boys aborted in accordance with China's one couple, one child policy (since there are not enough lights to extinguish on behalf of the approx. 250 Million babies aborted in China since 1980). And then maybe leave a few hundred lights out to commemorate the hundreds of students who lost their lives fighting for a democratic China. That would be a statement that all Americans would get behind.
